LEDs for Medical Light Sources
LED supplier Epitex is able to make unusual, therapy-specific wavelengths available at relatively low volumes if required. Contact us if you need to source a very specific wavelength selection.
Taiwan manufacturer Huey Jann produces a wide range of high power, high efficiency LEDs from 0.5W to 100W, achieving excellent heat dissipation, high luminous efficiency, low decay and long operating life. The parts offer superior ESD performance and low voltage DC operation, and are more energy efficient than incandescent and most halogen lamps. High power light bar modules (15W, 30W) and waterproof very high power LED modules are also offered.
Enfis smart multi-Watt LED light engines and arrays are available across a wide range of wavelengths including UV, visible, NIR/IR and white light. Enfis arrays provide excellent thermal conductivity, and multiple wavelengths can be controlled on a single LED array, such that CRI and colour temperature can be tuned for eg surgical lighting. Multi-Watt LED systems are also providing a safe way to treat dermatological conditions using UV, visible and IR wavelengths.
The uniform optical light patterns offered by TT Optek’s new UV LEDs suit medical applications such as phototherapy and dental curing. With optical power output ranges from 1.8mW to over 17mW, they provide an environmentally friendly UV-A alternative to traditional mercury UV lamps, allowing customers to target specific applications with a narrow wavelength emission while eliminating any mercury hazard. The LEDs are offered in a variety of wavelengths from 375nm to 425nm and housed in hermetic TO-46 metal can packages.
Pacer offers design facilities for LED assemblies if you are considering outsourcing all or part of a project. We have chip on board specialists well versed in substrate selection to optimise thermal management.
