Infrared - through hole solutions
PerkinElmer provides a series of infrared LEDs emitting from 850nm up to 1060nm. Package styles include low cost 3mm and 5mm plastic end-on emitting devices, side looking and TO 106 plastic and hermetically sealed TO46 with integral lens or flat window. Photosensors which are mechanically and spectrally matched to the LEDs are available, to ensure effective coupling.
The TT Optek range of IR LEDs offers a choice of either 890nm or 935nm. Package styles include pill pack, TO46, side looking, plastic end looking in 3mm, 5mm and plastic TO46. Wide choice of power outputs and available with both narrow or wide emission angles.

Knowledge*on offers a wide range of low cost plastic infrared emitting diodes at 940nm, 880nm and 850nm, including devices with very high radiant power output suitable for high drive currents for camera illumination, and high speed LEDs for communication applications. Kodenshi also offers infrared emitting diodes at 940nm and 880nm, including side emitting and TO18 packages, as well as very compact package styles for use where space is at a premium. Also available are LED versions with either very narrow beam angles or parallel beam output.
