Pyroelectric Detectors

Pyroelectric materials produce a charge shift when they undergo a change in thermal energy. Pyroelectric detectors use this effect to detect motion in intrusion alarms or any application requiring motion detection.

The DigiPyro ^TM PYD 1998 digital output pyrodetector from PerkinElmer combines a proven dual element configuration with a fully integrated A to D converter. The DigiPyro Triple Channel, PYQ 2898, featuring a quad- element design with three channels; two pairs of elements representing two channels and an additional temperature reference channel, thereby allowing for more information to be provided to the hosting microprocessor.
