Optical Communications

Pacer is able to supply competitive plug and play optical network module and high-quality photonic components in all the standard MSA form factors, from our partners Mitsubishi and Broadjet. Products include SFP, SFP+, XFP, X2 and Xenpak form factors supporting digital Ethernet, PON and video transmission protocols from 155MBps to 10GBps and beyond. Applications include ultra-short, short haul, MAN, WAN, FTTx, video and PON/GPON installations.

Standard products and custom components are available. Pacer is also able to supply high-speed active optical and active cables (AOC and ACC), planar light-wave circuit splitter and fibre arrays, micro-optical CWDM and DWDM devices.

Mitsubishi’s comprehensive range of TO, ROSA or pigtailed transceiver/receiver modules enable data rates of 155MBps through to 10GBps over 80km link lengths, and support Ethernet, PON, RoF and DWDM transmission protocols. Available in 1310nm, 1550nm and standard CWDM wavelengths, these products meet the requirements of all current high performance transmission applications.

Custom Optical Assemblies - Broadjet’s range of competitive high quality customised pigtailed and receptacle TOSAs enables the user to specify the base component configuration, wavelength and speed which is then supplied pre-aligned and tested. Through Broadjet, Pacer is able to offer a range of user defined bi-directional or dual wavelength transmitter/receiver modules. Each product consists of two optical ports with a differentiating wavelength selective mirror. Depending on the devices selected, full duplex dual wavelength communication can be achieved, or alternatively bandwidth can be doubled by utilising two transmitters or receivers of different wavelengths on the same fibre. Component options include LED, laser, PIN diode or APD at speeds of 1-10GBps at common wavelengths of 850nm, 1310nm and 1550nm, with either digital or analogue modulation.
